VUMC, Bayer partner on cardiac drug development

Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center has partnered with Bayer to advance therapeutics for the treatment of cardiovascular and kidney diseases. 

The collaboration will last five years through an Investigational New Drug application, according to a Jan. 20 news release from VUMC. 

The partnership aims to leverage clinical expertise and biological datasets alongside Bayer’s drug development portfolio to accelerate drug discovery, the release said.
