Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt Health has received accreditation in adult congenital transthoracic echocardiography from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission.
The system is the eighth facility in the U.S. and the first in Tennessee to achieve the designation under the IAC’s adult echocardiography program, according to a Jan. 5 news release.
The accreditation recognizes facilities that provide care to patients with congenital heart disease who transition from pediatric to adult cardiology services.
