Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, Pa., has opened a new hybrid electrophysiology lab.

Three things to know:

1. The Steve and Jeanne Follett Hybrid Electrophysiology Lab is the first in Pennsylvania to feature a new imaging system from GE Healthcare, according to a June 9 news release.

2. The hybrid lab enables clinicians to perform both electrophysiology procedures and other interventions — such as catheterizations, valve replacements and angioplasties — in one location.
3. The lab was made possible by a donation from Steve and Jeanne Follett. Mr. Follett served on the board of trustees for Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network for more than a decade. He currently sits on the board for Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health, which merged with Lehigh Valley Health Network in 2024.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
