Mount Sinai Medical Center appoints cardiac surgery president

Miami Beach, Fla.-based Mount Sinai Medical Center has appointed Eric Weiss, MD, as president of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. 

He will also serve as co-director of valve surgery alongside Steve Xydas, MD, according to a Mount Sinai Medical Center news release shared with Becker’s

Prior to his appointment, Dr. Weiss led the Aortic Center and structural heart program at Milwaukee-based Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center.
