Hoag names cardiac surgery leader

Newport Beach, Calif.-based Hoag has appointed Jack Sun, MD, as director of cardiovascular surgery at the Jeffrey M. Carlton Heart & Vascular Institute.

As director, he will develop a heart failure treatment, according to a May 1 news release from the health system. 

Dr. Sun previously served as chief of cardiac surgery at the University of California, Irvine, the release said.
